I just read the latest news about Dani Alves, who his future Nou Camp has become a speculation. Alves contract will expiry at the end of next season. The news reported that Alves is desperate to renew his contract as he want discussion to be made "as soon as possible".
At least, it shows that Alves have no intention to leaves Barca at this time. This should give some motivation to his teammates who will take on Arsenal in Wednesday night, as Alves is good, high quality player that give big contribution to the team. Absent of Alves is big loss to Barca.
Several club have shown interest on Alves espcially Manchester City. However, Barcelona were reportedly targeting Ajax right back Gregory van der Wiel as a potential replacement should Alves leave.
I hope Alves will stay at Nou Camp, simply because he can play an important role for the Barca team.
